Terms of service
Last updated 22 August 2026. These terms cover the FarmingMode application at app.farmingmode.com and this website.
FarmingMode is operated by Agricode LLC. By registering an account or using the service you agree to what is set out here. We have tried to write it so you can actually read it.
The service
FarmingMode is a web application for recording farm work: forage harvest, manure application, employee hours, and crop operations. It runs in a browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
It requires an internet connection. It does not work offline, there is no native mobile app, and it does not connect to GPS, scale hardware, equipment telematics, accounting software or payroll providers. It produces records and Excel spreadsheets.
Your account
- You must give accurate registration details and keep them current.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by users you add and by employees using time clock PINs.
- Keep sign-in details private. Tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised.
- You must be old enough to enter into a contract, and you must have authority to accept these terms on behalf of the farm or business.
Access levels
Accounts have four access levels: Owner, Manager, User and Viewer. The Owner controls billing and account-wide settings. Managers can add users and grant access. Deciding who gets which level, and removing access when someone leaves, is yours to manage.
The free trial
New accounts get a 30-day free trial. Registering does not require a credit card and does not create a subscription. Nothing is charged when the trial ends. To keep using the service after the trial, the account owner subscribes from the Owner Portal.
Subscriptions and payment
- Subscriptions are billed annually and priced by how many modules the account has turned on: $1,200 for one, $1,700 for two, $2,200 for three and $2,500 for all four, per year.
- Pricing is at the account level. There is no per-user charge.
- Any module can occupy any slot. The price depends on how many you turn on, not which.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by us.
- Subscriptions renew annually until cancelled.
- A module added part-way through a subscription year is billed in full and is not prorated.
- Prices may change. Any change applies from your next renewal, never mid-term, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before it takes effect.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal, reached from the Owner Portal in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, so nothing is cut off the day you cancel.
Annual fees are not refunded part-way through a term. Cancelling stops the renewal rather than refunding the year you are in. This is why the trial is 30 days and does not ask for a card: the intention is that you decide before you pay, not after.
Export what you need before access ends. Every module has Excel exports and they are available for as long as the subscription is active. After an account is cancelled we hold the records for 90 days and then delete them, so there is a window to come back for something you missed. See the privacy policy.
Your data
The records you enter belong to you. That includes your fields, growers, equipment, employees and every session and report you create.
We store and process it to run the service for you. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to build products for anyone else. See the privacy policy for the detail.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold the personal information you put in, particularly your employees' details and the details of growers you work for.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law with it, or use it to hold information you have no right to hold.
- Try to gain access to accounts, data or systems you are not entitled to.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, or attempt to get around its access controls.
- Resell, sublicense or offer the service to third parties as your own.
- Copy, decompile or reverse engineer the software.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this, and will normally tell you why first.
Availability
We work to keep FarmingMode running and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of problems at a hosting or payment provider, or for reasons outside our control.
We do not offer a service level agreement or an uptime guarantee.
Keep your own copies
We take reasonable care with backups. Even so, do not rely on FarmingMode as the only copy of records that matter to your business. Use the Excel exports regularly. This is sensible practice with any software, ours included.
What the service is not
FarmingMode records what you tell it. It does not verify it. Specifically:
- It does not produce a regulatory nutrient management plan and does not guarantee any compliance outcome.
- It does not give agronomic, environmental, legal, accounting or tax advice.
- It does not calculate payroll or determine what anyone is owed. It exports hours to a spreadsheet.
- Reports are only as good as what was entered. Check the numbers before you bill from them or file anything based on them.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Agricode LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell account owners by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using FarmingMode at any time by cancelling. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or non-payment. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give at least 60 days' notice by email so you have time to export your records before access ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in the State of Michigan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them.
