Privacy policy

FarmingMode is a product of Agricode LLC. This page explains what we collect, why we have it, who else can see it, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.

The short version

We collect what we need to run your account, and not much else.
Card details never reach us. Payment goes through Stripe.
Your farm records belong to you. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to build products for anyone else.
This website has no forms, no analytics and no third-party trackers.
You can ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing us.

What we collect

When you register

Your name: So we know who the account holder is.
Email address: Used to sign in, to reset a password, and to contact you about the account.
Phone number: So we can reach you about the account if email is not working.
Farm or business name: Identifies the account and appears on your reports.
Address: Used for billing and account records.

What you record in the app

Everything you enter: fields, growers, locations, pits and pens, trucks and tractors and their owners, employees, chemicals, crops and varieties, and every harvest, manure, spray, planting, baling and time clock record you create.

Some of that is other people's personal information — your employees' names and PINs, and the names of growers you work for. You are responsible for having a reason to hold it. We hold it on your behalf so the app can work.

Users you add

If you add Managers, Users or Viewers to your account, we hold their name, email address and what they are allowed to see.

Technical information

Ordinary server logs: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and when. These are used to keep the service running and to investigate faults and abuse.

What we do not collect

Card numbers. Stripe handles payment. We never see or store them.
Location. FarmingMode does not use GPS and does not track where you or your equipment are.
Anything from analytics or advertising trackers on this website. There are none.

Why we have it

To give you an account and let you sign in to it.
To store and show the records you enter, and to generate your reports and exports.
To take payment for the modules you have turned on, through Stripe.
To reply when you contact us for support.
To keep the service running, secure and backed up.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your farm records to train anything or to build a data product.

Who else can see it

People you give access to

Anyone you add to your account sees what their access level allows. Owners see everything including billing; Managers see the modules the account has and can add users; Users see only the pages a Manager ticked; Viewers see everything read-only and cannot change or delete anything. Access is yours to grant and to remove.

If you belong to more than one operation

A user can belong to more than one farm or account. Data is kept separate between accounts. Belonging to one account does not give anyone sight of another.

Service providers

Stripe: Payment processing and the billing portal. Stripe receives what it needs to take payment and is subject to its own privacy policy.
AccuWeb Hosting: Hosts the servers that the application and this website run on, and holds the backups.

That is the full list. Nothing else has access to your records.

When the law requires it

We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the safety of others.

Where it is kept and how long

Your data is held on servers in the United States, hosted by AccuWeb Hosting. We keep your account and its records for as long as the account is open.

When an account is cancelled or you ask us to delete it, we keep the records for 90 days and then delete them. That window is there so you can change your mind, or come back for an export you forgot to take, without losing a season's work. After 90 days it is gone from the live system, and copies in routine backups age out shortly afterwards.

If you want it gone sooner than 90 days, say so and we will do it.

Security

Traffic to the application is encrypted in transit. Access is controlled by per-user logins and the four access levels described above, and employee time clock PINs are separate from application logins.

We do not hold any security certification, and we are not going to claim one. No service can promise it will never have a breach. If one affected your data we would tell you.

Your choices

See what we hold: Most of it is visible in the app. Email us for anything else.
Correct it: Account details and records can be edited in the app.
Export it: Every module has Excel exports. Take your records with you whenever you like.
Delete it: Email farmingmodeapp@gmail.com from the address on the account and ask. We will confirm before deleting anything, because it cannot be undone.
Stop the emails: We only send account and support email. There is no marketing list.

Employees and growers whose details are in an account

If you are an employee or a grower and your details are in a FarmingMode account, the farm that holds the account is the right place to start. They control the records. If you cannot get anywhere, email us and we will help where we can.

Children

FarmingMode is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Cookies

This marketing website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The application uses only what it needs to keep you signed in.

Changes to this policy

If we change it we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how your information is handled, we will tell account owners by email.
